Lessons Policy (Missed Classes)

Private Music lessons:

Registration is per academic term. Your tuition is divided into equal monthly payments. There are typically 4 lessons per month, but for some months you will receive 5 lessons. If this happens, your monthly payment does not increase. A 5th lesson will buffer in case of any cancellations, holidays, bad weather or sick days. 

The teacher does not teach on Thanksgiving and during Christmas (24th-26th).

There are no refunds and no credits carried forward on unused, missed or cancelled lessons. Please think of it similar to the school/daycare tuition system. 


Late arrivals:

Free Trial / Consultation Meeting

Consultation meetings are initially set up to ensure both the mentor and the student are a good match and that their goals align.

These will be 20 minute meetings carried out on Zoom.

During these meetings, students will be evaluated and their goals and lesson plans discussed. If the student or parent decides to move ahead with weekly lessons, this can be communicated with our Admin and a lessons package may then be purchased.

The student may then contact the mentor to schedule weekly lessons. 

Payment

Once you email us regarding your lessons and mentorship needs and goals, our Admin will email you an invoice which includes a payment option with either Credit Card or Debit Card. PaylPal and e-Transfers are also available upon request.

Trusted service providers such as PayPal and Square will be used for Credit and Debit card transactions. East Chamber Music does not store or have access to any Credit or Debit card information.
